Conditions of Hire

All items hired remain the property of Alter Ego at all times.
Proof of identity and current address is required before a costume can be taken away.
Unless specified otherwise on the Hire Agreement the hire period is from 10.00 am on the hire date until 2.00 pm on the return date.
Cancellation of Hire Agreement
- Cancellation more than one week before the hire date - no refund will be made: a credit note for 80% of the hire charge will be given for use towards a future hire.
- Cancellation within one week of the hire date - no refund will be made: a credit note for 50% of the hire charge will be given for use towards a future hire.
- Exchange of costume - £5.00 exchange fee charged per costume.
Costumes not returned by the specified time will be subject to an overdue charge of £5.00 per day or part day.
Costumes must not be washed, nor any alterations made.
Damages will be charged for at the cost of repair.
Unreasonably dirty or stained costumes will be charged for at the cost of any special cleaning required.
Lost or irreparably damaged items will be charged for at the full replacement cost (which is usually considerably more than the deposit) plus a non-refundable administration charge of £3.00.
The Hire Agreement is subject to these stated conditions as varied by any special terms which are a) agreed between Alter Ego and the Customer and b) confirmed in writing by Alter Ego on the Hire Agreement/Invoice.
All items are available for inspection before collection on hire and no liability for unsuitability of purpose shall rest with Alter Ego or its employees.
The parties hereby agree and confirm that no liability for consequential or other loss, damage or injury to any person whether the customer or any other person however caused shall rest with Alter Ego or its employees and the customer hereby fully and effectually indemnifies Alter Ego and its employees and its estate and effects from and against any such loss, damage, cost, claim or other liability arising under the Agreement/Invoice or these Conditions of Hire.
Your personal details may be held and processed, including on computer, for the purpose of administering this agreement and for other purposes including marketing.
