WE HIRE
Alter Ego has thousands of costumes for hire, most of them brand new - an exciting range selected from the best of British and continental suppliers. Take a look at a selection of costumes from our hire catalogue.
Costume Hire Prices:
Budget range - £18.00. Simple, good quality costumes usually with one accessory e.g. 60s mini dress with matching peaked cap (note, this price is not available in December).
Main range - £20.00. Straightforward basic costumes, often in 2 or more pieces with 1 or 2 accessories e.g. man's pirate costume with shirt, breeches and tunic, plus a pirate headscarf.
Main range - £25.00. More substantial costumes, or those with more decoration or accessories e.g. Pirate Captain costume with coat, shirt, breeches, hat and boot tops.
Deluxe range - £30.00 to £45.00. Elaborate costumes or heavyweight costumes e.g dress with hoop petticoats; Roman armour; "trompe l'oeil" costumes such as "ride the ostrich".
Boots and shoes - £8.00 to £15.00 when hired on their own. £5.00 to £10.00 extra when added to a costume hire.
Children's costumes - £10.00 to £12.00. We specialise in child costumes suitable for school book days and National Curriculum history days e.g. Tudor, Mediaeval, Victorian, Roman, Aztec plus many book and film characters.
Hats - Most hats are £8.00 when hired on their own, £5.00 extra when added to a costume hire.
Wigs - A few of our hiring costumes include wigs (when the wigs can be washed easily). In other cases we offer an excellent range of wigs for sale, many under £8.00, with a 10% discount for hiring customers. Wigs may be tried on in our shops before purchase.
WE SELL
Costumes and Accessories
We offer a huge selection of accessories to buy, from spectacular jewellery to hats, wigs, amazing masquerade masks and many other items. Hiring customers are given a 10% discount off the price of any purchases made at the same time as the hire. If we don't have it we can probably order it!
We also have a smaller range of packet costumes to buy, for adults and children.
